Indianapolis Colts
quarterback Peyton Manning has been named AFC Offensive Player of the
Week for his performance in last Sunday's victory over the Houston Texans.
Manning completed 30-of-46
passes for a season-high 320 yards and two touchdowns as the Colts
stretched their winning streak to a season-best three games. He also
earned the weekly honor for leading the team to a win over Baltimore
in Week 6.
During the team's three-game
winning streak, Manning has compiled a 104.0 passer rating by
completing 62.6 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
The team also announced
several roster moves.
It signed tight end Jamie
Petrowski and defensive back Brandon Foster and placed rookie tight
end Tom Santi and cornerback Nick Graham on the injured reserve list.
The Colts released tight end
Eric Butler and quarterback David Greene from the practice squad and
signed defensive back A.J. Davis, wide receiver Marques Hagans and
safety Brannon Condren to the practice squad.
